STEM Inventions LLC is a certified small business in California, United States that is owned and operated by Lance Akiyama, a project-based educator, curriculum developer, and author.

In addition to selling original kits and supplies, STEM Inventions is an open-source collection of hands-on projects and accompanying lesson plans for elementary and middle school kids, available at www.stem-inventions.com.

Since 2011 all project ideas have been freely available to help make STEM education more accessible for all.

The activities were developed over the course of several years with groups of children and intended for use in after school enrichment classes and summer camps.
